"Still, still, still: the night is calm and still. The Christ-child in his crib lies sleeping, angels round him watch are keeping. Still, still, still: the night is calm and still." Voices United #47 In these days as we draw close to Christmas, please take some moments of stillness. A few moments a couple of times a day to take some deep breaths and remember what all the hustle and bustle is about. Close your eyes. Recall the words, "Fear not, for I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all the people." This is what the angels say to us each day. Take that message inside of you. Let it be what you live and how you live it. This is the "Word made flesh". This is Emmanuel; God-with-us"!
See you Christmas Eve at 5:00 p.m. and Christmas morning at 10:30 a.m.(bring a Christmas gift that you have received for show and tell).

"Come all you citizens, every land and and every nation. This is a song you will hear at church this Sunday that inspired the Christmas Drama, "Las Posadas", that our Sunday School will present Sunday morning. It captures the message of the gospel Christmas message so well. Come Sunday morning to join our younger members as they offer us the Christmas story with their own unique perspective and their vibrant energy.
It is also White Gift Sunday. Please bring gifts of non-perishable items for the Food Bank, or items for our Christmas family. There are always people who need our prayer, but this time of year seems to bring those needs to the forefront. Please find some time everyday to stop for a few moments and remember those in your own family and friendship circles, in your church and around the world. Why not right now stop for a moment and offer from your heart to God's heart your concerns and also your celebrations. God bless you. |
