COVID-19 Update

January 2022

Dear Friends of Aylmer United Church,

We have a committee working on preparations for our return to gathering as a community of faith.  Our first concern is that no one become ill as a result of attending services or activities at Aylmer United Church.  Rest assured that we will fulfil every requirement of the Federal and Provincial Governments before we open our doors again.

There are alternatives to getting together for services if you are fortunate enough to have Internet access via either computer or cell phone.  We do zoom services on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am est.   Send us an email if you are interested in registering to attend.

For those in our congregation who are not on email, we will be staying in contact through a phone chain. However, please contact us if you need anything and so that we can stay in touch!

Covid Task Team Report
Aylmer United Church

The Omicron virus is now the dominant variant, and the numbers of those infected are rising, giving cause for alarm among the medical profession.

The Government of Quebec announced new limitations with more to come if necessary. These restrictions can be noted by visiting their website     .

Once again our building is locked and only accessible for essential purposes.

Maybe it will be possible to allow renters back early in the new year if restrictions are lifted.

We would like to recommend to our congregation and friends that they:-
limit their social activities,
wear tightly fitting procedural masks or tightly fitting N95 masks,
obtain the 'Booster' shot as soon as possible,
that children are vaccinated,  and
obtain and use when necessary, a Rapid Antigen Test Kit.

We hope that with these tools and voluntary restrictions the variant will loose
momentum, and life can move forwards once again in the new year.

Wishing Everyone a Happy, Safe and Healthy New Year
